بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ يٰأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ إِذا طَلَّقتُمُ النِّساءَ فَطَلِّقوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحصُوا العِدَّةَ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ رَبَّكُم ۖ لا تُخرِجوهُنَّ مِن بُيوتِهِنَّ وَلا يَخرُجنَ إِلّا أَن يَأتينَ بِفٰحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ ۚ وَتِلكَ حُدودُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدودَ اللَّهِ فَقَد ظَلَمَ نَفسَهُ ۚ لا تَدرى لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يُحدِثُ بَعدَ ذٰلِكَ أَمرًا(1)
O Prophet, when you divorce women, divorce them when they have reached their period. Count the period, and fear God your Lord. Do not expel them from their houses, nor let them go forth, except when they commit a flagrant indecency. Those are God's bounds; whosoever trespasses the bounds of God has done wrong to himself. Thou knowest not, perchance after that God will bring something new to pass.(1)
فَإِذا بَلَغنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمسِكوهُنَّ بِمَعروفٍ أَو فارِقوهُنَّ بِمَعروفٍ وَأَشهِدوا ذَوَى عَدلٍ مِنكُم وَأَقيمُوا الشَّهٰدَةَ لِلَّهِ ۚ ذٰلِكُم يوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كانَ يُؤمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الءاخِرِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجعَل لَهُ مَخرَجًا(2)
Then, when they have reached their term, retain them honourably, or part from them honourably. And call in to witness two men of equity from among yourselves; and perform the witnessing to God Himself. By this then is admonished whosoever believes in God and the Last Day. And whosoever fears God, He will appoint for him a way out,(2)
وَيَرزُقهُ مِن حَيثُ لا يَحتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّل عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسبُهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بٰلِغُ أَمرِهِ ۚ قَد جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدرًا(3)
and He will provide for him from whence he never reckoned. And whosoever puts his trust in God, He shall suffice him. God attains his purpose. God has appointed a measure for everything.(3)
وَالّٰـٔى يَئِسنَ مِنَ المَحيضِ مِن نِسائِكُم إِنِ ارتَبتُم فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلٰثَةُ أَشهُرٍ وَالّٰـٔى لَم يَحِضنَ ۚ وَأُولٰتُ الأَحمالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعنَ حَملَهُنَّ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجعَل لَهُ مِن أَمرِهِ يُسرًا(4)
As for your women who have despaired of further menstruating, if you are in doubt, their period shall be three months; and those who have not menstruated as yet. And those who are with child, their term is when they bring forth their burden. Whoso fears God, God will appoint for him, of His command, easiness.(4)
ذٰلِكَ أَمرُ اللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُ إِلَيكُم ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يُكَفِّر عَنهُ سَيِّـٔاتِهِ وَيُعظِم لَهُ أَجرًا(5)
That is God's command, that He has sent down unto you. And whosoever fears God, He will acquit him of his evil deeds, and He will give him a mighty wage.(5)
أَسكِنوهُنَّ مِن حَيثُ سَكَنتُم مِن وُجدِكُم وَلا تُضارّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقوا عَلَيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن كُنَّ أُولٰتِ حَملٍ فَأَنفِقوا عَلَيهِنَّ حَتّىٰ يَضَعنَ حَملَهُنَّ ۚ فَإِن أَرضَعنَ لَكُم فَـٔاتوهُنَّ أُجورَهُنَّ ۖ وَأتَمِروا بَينَكُم بِمَعروفٍ ۖ وَإِن تَعاسَرتُم فَسَتُرضِعُ لَهُ أُخرىٰ(6)
Lodge them where you are lodging, according to your means, and do not press them, so as to straiten their circumstances. If they are with child, expend upon them until they bring forth their burden. If they suckle for you, give them their wages, and consult together honourably. If you both make difficulties, another woman shall suckle for him.(6)
لِيُنفِق ذو سَعَةٍ مِن سَعَتِهِ ۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيهِ رِزقُهُ فَليُنفِق مِمّا ءاتىٰهُ اللَّهُ ۚ لا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفسًا إِلّا ما ءاتىٰها ۚ سَيَجعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعدَ عُسرٍ يُسرًا(7)
Let the man of plenty expend out of his plenty. As for him whose provision is stinted to him, let him expend of what God has given him. God charges no soul save with what He has given him. God will assuredly appoint, after difficulty, easiness.(7)
وَكَأَيِّن مِن قَريَةٍ عَتَت عَن أَمرِ رَبِّها وَرُسُلِهِ فَحاسَبنٰها حِسابًا شَديدًا وَعَذَّبنٰها عَذابًا نُكرًا(8)
How many a city turned in disdain from the commandment of its Lord and His Messengers; and then We made with it a terrible reckoning and chastised it with a horrible chastisement.(8)
فَذاقَت وَبالَ أَمرِها وَكانَ عٰقِبَةُ أَمرِها خُسرًا(9)
So it tasted the mischief of its action, and the end of its affair was loss.(9)
أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم عَذابًا شَديدًا ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يٰأُولِى الأَلبٰبِ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا ۚ قَد أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيكُم ذِكرًا(10)
God prepared for them a terrible chastisement. So fear God, O men possessed of minds! Believers, God has sent down to you, for a remembrance,(10)
رَسولًا يَتلوا عَلَيكُم ءايٰتِ اللَّهِ مُبَيِّنٰتٍ لِيُخرِجَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ إِلَى النّورِ ۚ وَمَن يُؤمِن بِاللَّهِ وَيَعمَل صٰلِحًا يُدخِلهُ جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ قَد أَحسَنَ اللَّهُ لَهُ رِزقًا(11)
a Messenger reciting to you the signs of God, clear signs, that He may bring forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the shadows into the light. Whosoever believes in God, and does righteousness, He will admit him to gardens underneath which rivers flow; therein they shall dwell for ever and ever. God has made for him a goodly provision.(11)
اللَّهُ الَّذى خَلَقَ سَبعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ وَمِنَ الأَرضِ مِثلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الأَمرُ بَينَهُنَّ لِتَعلَموا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَد أَحاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عِلمًا(12)
It is God who created seven heavens, and of earth their like, between them the Command descending, that you may know that God is powerful over everything and that God encompasses everything in knowledge.(12)
